Airport Governance

Lakeland Linder International Airport is owned and operated by the City of Lakeland, which is governed by a seven member board (the Mayor of the City of Lakeland, and six other members who are elected by the constituency). The Airport is managed by the Airport Director who reports to the Assistant City Manager.

Airport Advisory Board

The Airport Advisory Board is comprised of seven (7) members who are appointed by the City Commission. Members include: one City of Lakeland Commissioner, one General Aviation Representative (initial term one year), one Corporate Aviation Representative (initial term two years), one Airport Tenant Representative (initial term three years), one Citizen At-Large Representative (initial term one year), one Citizen At-Large Representative (initial term two years), and one Citizen At-Large Representative (initial term of three years).

The Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) Airport Advisory Board provides input regarding operations, capital projects, planning, and strategic business development opportunities at LAL. To request copies of past meeting agendas, presentations, and minutes please e-mail [email protected].
